Storm was the first song that we wrote together as a band with our current lineup. We spent a lot of time before this working on and re-writing our old songs after a few member changes so this song will always be important to us.
This video was shot by our friend Joshua Goodman Media and takes place entirely in our personal studio, including Ethan’s house. It’s loosely inspired by a true event; we actually got stuck there during a storm! We were set to play a show in Providence and, not an hour before we were going to leave, two trees fell on both ends of the street- trapping us. It’s documented in one of our Frantic Endeavors episodes, I’ll put it below if you wanna see what happened!
Hold me don't let go now The storm has just begun Flashing lights Now I’m blind Thundering steps have made their entrance Praying that you’ll stay Knowing that I'm safe Quick save me Hurry up and pull me out Quick away from the grave now Push back all the sinking sand Alive on this stranded land Shaken beyond repair now Trembling in your arms Hurricane sweeps Making its way to me I hear you speak I hear you speak the words you say I know you will never leave me I know I’m not forsaken I know, I know, I know Quick save me Hurry up and pull me out Quick away from the grave now Push back all the sinking sand Alive on this stranded land Stranded beyond what I know My world is crashing down like waves The stars are bright above my head now Guiding me to you Falling through the clouds now Grasping at the mist Fallen from the angels Down below I make my home I'm not afraid You say my name Speaking softly But my fear still rocks this boat The dark swallows my courage whole Hold me don’t let go now I’m sinking down below I’m haunted by the moon’s glow I’m taken away from all I know (This is a shortened version of the full song, which is on the album!)
